MEET THE
FOUNDERS
The creation of Brush Box has been a long time coming for Kadijiha and Amber, who first met as Community Advisors during their undergrad years at Alverno College.
Since then, Amber and KaDi have used their superpowers for the greater good. They started as dorm advisors and focused on building a community within the residence halls that would last long after their CA year, though their journey rapidly evolved into doing even more for the community.
AMBER THOMAS
FOUNDER AND ART+COMMUNITY CONTENT CURATOR
Amber Thomas has a masters of science in Art Therapy with a concentration in clinical counseling. Amber currently works throughout the city of Milwaukee developing and facilitating art based healing programming for various community based organizations and the Milwaukee Public School System. Amber has a passion for building community and facilitating art processes that promote healing and self expression. Amber currently works with Clara Healing Institute (Wauwatos, WI), AWE Artists working in Education (Milwaukee,WI), and Bloom Center for Arts and Expressive Therapies ( Milwaukee, WI).
Amber has a focus on community-based interaction and grounding work. Participants will be led through various activities that promote emotional regulation, self-reflection, and building an emotional toolbox. Amber has the ability to hold space in allowing participants to reflect and process the provided material and interactions.

KADIJIHA JONES

CONTENT CURATOR
Kadijiha Jones has a bachelor's degree in marketing and communication from Alverno College. Kadijiha pursued a career as an Account Executive at creative agencies around Milwaukee.
Kadijiha is currently a program coordinator and entrepreneur in residence for Islands of Brilliance Milwaukee helping build programming for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Kadijiha also has extensive volunteer experience with Americorps, Redcross, and Habitat for Humanity.
